Derby Silk Mill Festival-Saturday 27th May

Please find attached flyers for The Derby Silk Mill Festival on Saturday 27th May (Bank Holiday weekend).

The Festival is organised by Derby Area Trade Union Council, it is free, has musical entertainment, kids activities along with food/drink (to buy) on Cathedral Green at the site of the Silk Mill itself, now the Silk Mill museum.

This will be preceded by the Silk Mill Workers Commemorative march and rally starting at The Market Place Derby leaving at 11:00am sharp! It will be led by a Derby Bhangra band and will march through Derby City Centre, pausing at the gates of the Silk Mill to lay a commemorative chaplet in recognition of the workers heroic struggle, before terminating at Cathedral Green for the rally with speeches before the Festival begins.

Members are encouraged to bring their own flags, banners and of course themselves to join us for the march and the festival too. Any queries contact:
